At The Form Practice, Clinical Aromatherapy is provided by Hannah Hatcher, a qualified Clinical Aromatherapist and Sports Therapist. Hannah takes time to understand your individual needs and can select essential oils specifically for you, incorporating them into massage where appropriate.

What is Clinical Aromatherapy?

Clinical Aromatherapy is the therapeutic use of essential oils extracted from plants. Rather than simply choosing an oil for its fragrance, a Clinical Aromatherapist considers the individual, their health and wellbeing, preferences and any relevant medical information before selecting an appropriate blend.

Essential oils can be incorporated into massage or used as part of an individually tailored aromatherapy treatment.

What happens during your appointment?

Your treatment begins with a consultation. Hannah will discuss your general health, any relevant medical conditions or medications, your reasons for attending and your preferences.

She will then select an appropriate combination of essential oils and tailor the treatment to you.

Where appropriate, Clinical Aromatherapy can be combined with massage, allowing Hannah to draw on her experience in both areas.

The essential oils we use

At The Form Practice, Hannah uses essential oils supplied by Base Formula, a specialist UK aromatherapy supplier established in 1996.

Base Formula supplies professional therapists and aromatherapy training colleges and is a registered member of the Aromatherapy Trade Council. Its essential oils are batch numbered and subject to independent testing and verification as part of the ATC programme.
